Valerie A. Blackwell-Truitt, with her longstanding commitment to dance, community involvement, and support for the arts, continues to foster an environment where creativity thrives. This year is no exception as the Antioch Foundry Theatre continues to be a hub for artistic expression.
Phillip O'Rourke, a familiar face to the event, returns for his third consecutive year. O'Rourke first graced the stage with a rendition of "Hallelujah," while playing the piano. Last year, he took to the stage with the inspiringly famous "Climb Every Mountain" from the beloved "Sound of Music" soundtrack.
This year, O'Rourke is set to take the stage with a timely rendition of John Mayer's "Waiting for the World to Change." Accompanied on the bass by "Boogie," O'Rourke's performance will be his own homage to the transformative power of music.
Music always has a way of moving, healing, uplifting, and being a catalyst for positive change. That has always been my passion. - Phillip O’Rourke
