I have a soft spot for people who are nice to me!
People weren't the nicest to me growing up. They were mean. Callous. Cruel. They called me names. Made fun of me. And it really hurt. As an adult, I remember the feeling. I remember the hurt. It's not something that you can just put away. It's not something you just GET OVER! It lingers.
So, today - as public as I am. As "accomplished" as I may seem. As "(insert word here)" as you believe me to be, nice words still matter because I am always haunted by the words of those who simply WEREN'T NICE.
I have a soft spot for people who are nice to me! Being nice is a CHOICE! I simply hope people choose wisely. Being strong is not an attribute - it's often the only option that one has to survive. So, I have a soft spot for people who are nice to me! #inspire Saying #bekind is not a hashtag. It's a challenge that many don't accept.
